San Angelo Colts News Release

San Angelo, Texas --- Left fielder Jason Crosland scored what proved to be the game winning run on a wild pitch in the eighth inning to give the San Angelo Colts a 6-5 victory over the Abilene Prairie Dogs Tuesday night at Foster Field.

Abilene took a 3-0 lead in the third courtesy of RBI doubles by shortstop Wilson Batista and third baseman Joe Wiek. The Prairie Dogs held onto the lead all the way into the sixth when the Colts knotted the game at three.

First baseman Daryl Jones scored the tying run on a ground out by designated hitter Cory Patton.

Down 6-3 in the top of the ninth, Abilene mounted a furious comeback. The Prairie Dogs scored two runs against Colts' closer Erik Draxton, but he persevered and earned his first save of the year.

Starter Logan Williamson (1-0) allowed three runs on eight hits in seven innings to earn his first win. Abilene starter Braden Tullis (0-1) allowed four runs, three earned, on ten hits in seven innings and suffered the loss.

Third baseman Davis Page also made his return to the Colts, and homered in his first at-bat.
