ABILENE, TX - The Abilene Prairie Dogs have made their first roster move of the regular season, releasing left-handed pitcher Matt Phillips.
The native Californian made one appearance for Abilene in the first week of the season. Phillips retired two batters in Abilene's 10-1 loss on Saturday night. The lefty surrendered four hits, yielded four runs, and walked four batters in the Prairie Dog's third game of the season.
Abilene takes to the field at 7:05 in San Angelo. Tonight's ballgame is the third game of a four game series; the set will conclude at Walt Drigger's Field on Wednesday evening.
