
Colts Break Out Brooms on Thunder

San Angelo, Texas---The Colts broke out the brooms against the Thunder as they handed McAllen their fourth straight loss at Foster Field XX-X. The win is the Colts' sixth in a row, and they have now won seven of their last eight at home.
Colts infielder Landon Camp was given a warm welcome as he retuned to the lineup Saturday night, taking the second pitch he saw off of the light post in left field. Camp was not done there. In the bottom of the eighth, Camp sent another ball out of the baseball diamond bringing his season total to X. The Colts as a team hit eight balls out of the confines of Foster Field. The Colts went back-to-back twice in the game. The "Killer C's" (Landon Camp and Clay Calfee) did it in the second, while Ronnie Gaines and Cory Patton went long in the fourth inning. Danny Hernandez was the star of the game going 2-4 knocking two balls out of the park, scoring two runs to go with two RBIs and racking up a slugging percentage of 1.000.
Colts righty Gorman Romero (3-0, 5.79) remains perfect on the season and is now 11-0 as a Colts starter over the past two seasons. Romero went 5 innings allowing six runs on ten hits striking out three. Thunders Shawn Wilyman (0-2, 7.94) records the loss giving up eight runs off of eleven hits and striking out seven through four innings.
Tomorrow, the Colts hit the road for Harlingen as they take on the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings. Brian Henschel (2-4, 5.57) will get the start for the Colts.
