Barrie, ON- To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the Barrie Colts today announced they will be wearing green St. Patrick's Day jerseys for their home game on Saturday March 17th versus the Peterborough Petes (7:30 p.m.).

At the conclusion of the game, each game-worn player jersey will be auctioned off in a LIVE format by the Colts bench. The auction will open up in silent format at their home game this Thursday versus the Mississauga Ice Dogs (7:30 p.m.), as fans will have their opportunity to place an initial bid. The proceeds from the jersey auction will go to support the Barrie Colts Education Fund, a fund which helps subsidize the education of Colts players who attend post-secondary institutions.

In addition prior to the game, the Colts will pay special tribute to overage players Nick Plastino, Andrew Marshall and Hunter Tremblay, who will all play in their last OHL regular season game. Captain Bryan Little will also be recognized for recently becoming the franchises' all-time goals leader and points leader. Majority Owner and Team President Howie Campbell will be on-ice to present the players with special gifts for their achievements.

Casey's Restaurant & Grill will also hold a special St. Patrick's Day celebration for people in attendance. Tickets for the game are currently on sale and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling (705)-739-7666, in person at the Molson Centre box office, or on-line at www.barriecolts.com.
