
Colorado Springs Switchbacks Battle to Draw Rio Grande Valley FC

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks battled against Rio Grande Valley FC and ended with a final score of 1-1.
With the Switchbacks playing their third game this week, the team knew this was going to be a tough battle. In the first half, the boys held an 88.2% passing accuracy and won four tackles.
In the 69 ¬Â², Rio Grand Valley's player #2 Jonathan Ricketts, had a tactical foul against #11 Deshane Beckford, who then was awarded a penalty kick for the team. #9 Romario Williams calmly took the position, and swiftly struck the ball into the net, giving the Switchbacks the lead.
Going into the rest of the second half, Rio Grande Valley FC player #9, receives a straight red card due to foul language, leaving RGV with 10 men on the pitch in the 83 ¬Â².
With eight minutes added into the final stoppage time, Rio Grande Valley scored within the final few minutes of the game. #8 Taylor Davila shot the ball right outside from the 18.
The Colorado Springs Switchbacks will be traveling to go against Las Vegas Lights FC next Saturday. Then the boys will be back at Weidner Field on October 14th for the last regular season match as they go against Phoenix Rising FC!
