FC Tulsa News Release
PITTSBURGH, PA. - FC Tulsa fought to the final minute, drawing a penalty in stoppage time that was converted by Phillip Goodrum. The final kick at the spot closed out the game at 3-2, in the favor of Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.
Albert Dikwa of Pittsburgh got the scoring started for the night in the 12th minute, which was followed by another from Joseph Farrell in the 29th minute.
It was looking to be a long way back into the game to get points for FC Tulsa, but three minutes before the half time whistle, Keegan Hughes towered over the Pittsburgh defenders to convert Milo Yosef's set piece into the box.
FC Tulsa suffered nine shots from Riverhounds' players in the first half, only managing to get three off themselves.
A focus going into the second half for Tulsa had to be on holding the ball better in the middle of the field. A lot of possession was lost in that dangerous conversion area, but coming back out after the break, we saw a lot of quick movements and long balls to stretch out the opposition.
Tulsa conceded again in the minute of 63 - Albert Dikwa got his brace and set the new season record for goals in Riverhounds history (19).
An entire line change came for Tulsa in the 65th minute, introducing Moses Dyer, who became a very key player for switching the momentum for Tulsa. Siad Haji and Blaine Ferri also came into the game.
Milo Yosef, coming back after missing last week, was crucial out on the wing, completing 10 passes in the final third, and attempting four crosses.
Moses Dyer was pulled to the ground inside the penalty area in stoppage time, allowing Phillip Goodrum to stand over the spot kick. His fifth goal scored from the penalty spot this season.
