TEMPE, AZ (November 5, 2010) - The Colorado Eagles are the hottest team in the CHL winning five straight games and today they were voted the #1 team on the 2010-11 season's first Yellowbook CHL Coaches Poll. The poll will be released on or near the beginning and middle of each month throughout regular season. Each first place vote receives 10 points, second place votes earn nine points, etc.

Colorado (5-1-0) rebounded nicely after dropping their season opener versus Arizona on October 15 by winning five straight games. The Eagles are currently in first place in the Turner Conference and in the poll received eight of the possible 17 first place votes (teams are unable to vote for themselves).

Two other teams received first place votes with Bossier-Shreveport (7-2-0) and Allen (6-2-0) each receiving five first place votes. Overall, the Americans earned six more points in the poll taking the #2 slot over the Mudbugs who are #3.

Rounding out the top five are Bloomington (4-1-0) and Dayton (4-1-0), two new teams to the CHL after joining the league in the off-season. Both teams competed in the International Hockey League last season.
