Colorado Eagles and Clear Channel Sign a Multi-Year Partnership

Windsor, CO – The Colorado Eagles and Clear Channel Communications have agreed to a multi-year partnership, the Eagles front office announced today.

Clear Channel and the Eagles have agreed to broadcast Eagles games on the Colorado Eagles Sports Network. The network of broadcast stations include KIIX, 1410 AM Fort Collins; KFKA, 1310 AM Greeley; KSXT, 1540 AM Loveland; KGAB, 650 AM Cheyenne. Additional affiliates are to be announced.

"Working with Clear Channel has been great in that it affords us the coverage we need as a professional team," stated Ralph Backstrom, President and General Manager of the Colorado Eagles. "Our partnership is off to a great start and we look forward to our inaugural season and many seasons to come with Clear Channel."

The Eagles and Clear Channel have been in negotiations for six months, but have been in the public presenting themselves as partners for two months while details were finalized.

"The agreement is reflective of Clear Channel's commitment to localized broadcast products and extensive community involvement," said Stu Haskell, Vice President & General Manager for Clear Channel Radio of Northern Colorado. "The Eagles are an incredible organization, immediately and appropriately embraced by Northern Colorado sports fans. We're honored to be associated with the team and are pleased to offer local businesses the opportunity to partner their business with such a dynamic product."

The partnership between Clear Channel and the Colorado Eagles has been successful to date as sponsorship contracts have been finalized with both partners working together.
