Chicago Wolves News Release

Chicago Wolves right wing and Colorado College graduate JOEY CRABB will make two appearances on Tue., Feb. 19, as part of the team's "Read to Succeed" program, sponsored by Borders. The program has reached more than 400,000 children in 13 seasons.

The two appearances are scheduled for:

Tue., Feb. 19: JOEY CRABB Hodgkins Library 6500 Wenz Ave. in Hodgkins 4:30 p.m.

Stickney-Forest View Library 6800 West 43rd St. in Stickney 6:30 p.m.

CRABB will discuss the role reading plays in his life as a professional athlete and reinforce the importance of recreational reading, as well as highlight the resources that libraries have to offer. The right wing will also dress a child in hockey gear, raffle Wolves prizes and sign autographs.

The "Read to Succeed" program encourages children to spend more time at the library and to read for fun. Every participant in the program sets an individual reading goal and has the opportunity to win prizes including Wolves notebooks, "Read to Succeed" t-shirts and tickets to Wolves home games for achieving their reading goals.

Each year, the Wolves reach more than 30,000 children through "Read to Succeed" and the DuPage, North Suburban and Metropolitan Library Systems. Members of the team will make more than 30 library visits throughout the Chicago area this season.
