Charleston, SC. - Eagles forward Darryl Bootland notched a goal and two assists, while defenseman Matt Register added a goal and an assist, as Colorado defeated the South Carolina Stingrays 4-2 on Thursday. Nathan Lieuwen captured his third straight win in net, stopping 32 of the 34 shots he faced in the contest.

South Carolina would generate the first goal of the night when forward Alex Gacek fired a wrister from the right circle to light the lamp at the 10:37 mark of the first period to give the Stingrays the 1-0 lead.

Heading into the second period, Colorado would steal away the momentum when Bootland deflected a shot from the point on the power play into the net with 11:55 remaining in the middle frame to knot the game at 1-1. Just 2:48 later, forward Luke Salazar posted his eighth goal of the season on a breakaway to give the Eagles the 2-1 edge.

Colorado would continue to pour on the goals in the third period, as defenseman Matt Register slammed a slapshot past Stingrays goaltender Parker Milner to increase the Eagles lead to 3-1 just 4:48 into the final period of regulation. That lead would grow to three when rookie defenseman Sergei Boikov unfurled a shot from the blue line on the power play that would find the back of the net for his first professional goal, giving Colorado a 4-1 advantage at the 10:15 mark of the third period.

South Carolina would draw within two with just six seconds remaining in the contest, as forward Rob Flick buried a wrister to cut the Eagles lead to 4-2.

Colorado's power play went 2-for-4 in the contest, while the team's penalty kill was a perfect 5-for-5 on the night.

The Eagles continue their five-game road trip as they square-off with the Carolina Stingrays on Saturday, November 19th at 7:05pm MT.
