COLORADO AVALANCHE REASSIGN DEFENSEMAN ANDREI MIRONOV TO SAN ANTONIO

SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 19, 2017) - The Colorado Avalanche have reassigned defenseman Andrei Mironov to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Mironov, 23, began the 2017-18 season with the Colorado Avalanche, recording his NHL debut on Oct. 5 against the New York Rangers. The Moscow, Russia, native played the previous five seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with the Moscow Dynamo, winning the KHL Gagarin Cup Championship in the 2012-13 season and receiving KHL All-Star honors during the 2014-15 campaign. The 6-foot-3, 194-pound defenseman registered 40 points (12g/28a) in 196 appearances with Moscow.

The Rampage travel to Cedar Park for a contest with in-state rival the Texas Stars on Friday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. CT at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
