Blackhawks Assign Noel

ROCKFORD, Ill - The Chicago Blackhawks have assigned forward Nathan Noel to the Rockford IceHogs.

Noel, 20, recorded 50 points (24g, 26a) in 52 regular-season games with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2016-17. The forward finished fifth on the team in goals and sixth in total points for the regular season before adding 2g-7a-9ts in 18 postseason contests for the league-champion Sea Dogs.

The native of Newfoundland, Canada has produced at least 30 points in each of his four seasons with Saint John, including 50 or more points in each of his last three campaigns. Overall, Noel has totaled 208 points (85g, 123a) in 242 career QMJHL games from 2013-17.
