Colin McDonald Recalled to Springfield

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, announced the Oilers have recalled right wing Colin McDonald from the Thunder to Springfield.

McDonald, 24, has skated in three games for the Thunder this season, notching two assists.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound right winger was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round (51st overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and has skated in 88 career games in the AHL with Springfield, scoring 27 points (14g-13a) while amassing 66 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound right winger has amassed four points (2g-2a) and 20 penalty minutes in 15 AHL games this year.

The Hartford, Conn. native scored 12 goals and 23 points (12g-11a) in 73 games in his rookie campaign last year.

The Thunder was voted "Best Local Sports Team" by readers of San Joaquin Magazine, has led the ECHL in attendance for three consecutive seasons and drew 239,337 fans to Stockton Arena in 2007-08.
