
Bombers Close Southern Trip With 2-1 Win at Augusta

AUGUSTA, GA -- The Dayton Bombers end their four-game southern trip with a 2-1 win at Augusta.
The Bombers fell behind 1-0 at 8:19 of the first when Augusta's Kevin Quick scored a power play goal.
Dayton stormed back at 8:40 of the second when Justin Bowers tied it on his seventh goal of the year with assists to Mike McLean and Nathan Schwartzbauer. Joe Van Culin scored what proved to be the game winner at 18:22 of the second on a power play goal assisted by Dan Riedel and Nino Musitelli.
Tyler Plante gets his first win in goal for the Bombers saving 28 of 29 opportunities.
The Bombers play at Cincinnati Tuesday night on the B-2 Networks before coming home Friday night at the Nutter Center against Wheeling at 7:30. You can get 2-for-1 tickets that night by bringing food for the Food Bank.
