Barrie Colts News Release
The Barrie Colts are proud to announce the signing of 2023 seventh-round selection, Cole Dubowsky to an OHL Scholarship and Education Agreement.
The 6.01 and 180lb winger from Sudbury, ON was drafted by the Colts 139th overall in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection Draft. In his U16 season, Dubowsky played for the Sudbury Nickel Capitals U16 program where he recorded 26 points (12 goals, 14 assists) in 27 games while compiling 106 penalty minutes. Last season, Dubowksy suited up for the Stayner Siskins where he notched 39 points (9 goals, 30 assists) across 36 games while having 93 penalty minutes. Dubowsky would go on to suit up for the Colts in five regular-season games at the end of the 2023-24 season.
"Cole came into training on a mission. He's a player who we got to see a bit with us last season and in Stayner (PJCHL). He's come back stronger, faster, and looks ready to take the next jump in his development. We're excited to add someone with Cole's traits to our group and looking forward to helping him continue to develop." Commented Head Coach & GM, Marty Williamson.
The Barrie Colts would like to welcome Cole and his family to Colts Country!
