
Coastal Bend Wins Game Two of Three-Game Series

The Pensacola Pelicans and Coastal Bend Aviators were tied at two until the 5th inning when visiting Coastal Bend took the lead with five runs. The Aviators held onto win game two 9-4 in Pensacola.
Coastal Bend scored quickly with two runs in the first inning. Brian Fryer led off the inning with a single and advanced to second with a stolen base. Bryan Smith drove in Fryer and scored when the next batter, Grant Richardson, doubled to give the Aviators the 2-0 lead.
Pensacola tied the game the following inning. Bo Williams and Ricardo Cordova both walked to lead off the inning. Raul Tablado then hit an RBI single down the left field line to score Williams. Pelicans catcher then grounded to shortstop to score Cordova.
The Aviators broke the game open in the 5th inning, scoring 5 runs on 2 hits, but used 4 walks and an error to take the lead 7-2. In the inning William Lewis had a two-RBI double. Coastal Bend scored their final two runs in the 7th inning when Stephen Morales doubled.
In the 8th and 9th innings, Pensacola was able to score one run in each inning. Newly acquired Andrew Revall hit an RBI fielder's choice to score Raul Tablado. In the 9th inning, Cordova drove in Cesar Aranguren who doubled, making the final score 9-4.
Game three of this 3-game series begins Thursday night at 6:35 at Pelican Park.
