Trailing 5-3 heading into the ninth inning, the Lincoln Saltdogs tied the score and snatched a win at home with another run in the 10th inning to improve to 18-19 in the second half. Saltdogs 1B Brett Cooley led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two RBI. 2B Josh Patton was 1-for-4 but his hit was a big one, a two run shot. Sioux Falls 3B Matt Imwalle also homered, his 14th of the season, in the losing effort. Lincoln closer Matt Varner was credited with his second win of the year thanks to a scoreless ninth and 10th frame.

Coastal Bend 9, Pensacola 4

The Coastal Bend Aviators got good offensive production from the heart of their order to upend Pensacola and improve to 16-19 in the second half. Aviators 1B Bryon Smith and 3B Grant Richardson combined to go 6-for-9 with four runs scored and two RBI, while 2B William Lewis pitched in with a 3-for-5 effort from lower in the order. In all Coastal Bend tallied 12 hits in the game. Coastal Bend starting pitcher Kevin Lee notched his first victory of the year. He allowed two runs on six hits through seven innings of work. Pensacola 2B Cesar Aranguren led the way in the losing effort. He was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

St. Paul 4, Sioux City 0

St. Paul starting pitcher Charlie Ruud dominated from start to finish, plain and simple. Ruud never gave the home team a chance, as he fanned 11 Sioux City Explorers and allowed just four hits in a complete game shutout. The victory improves Ruud's mark to 10-3 on the year and improves St. Paul to 24-15 in the second half. The win also expands the Saints' lead over Sioux City to three games in the North Division. Offensively, St. Paul was led by RF Derrick White who was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. Each of the Explorers' one through four hitters recorded one hit, but that was all they could muster in the losing effort.

St. Joe 3, Fort Worth 2 (10 innings)

The St. Joe Blacksnakes plated runs in the eighth and ninth innings to pull even at 2-2 and scored again in the 10th to escape with a come-from-behind win at home and improve to 17-22 in the second half. Despite recording just six hits, St. Joe got timely ones en route to victory. Blacksnakes reliever Vinnie DeChristofaro was credited with the win, improving his mark to 5-8 on the year. Despite the lack of hits, half of St. Joe's hits were triples, with RF Curt Miaso, SS Chad Sosebee and 2B Terry Robles all hitting one. Fort Worth C Kelley Gulledge and CF Jordan Foster each went 2-for-4 in the losing effort to lead all hitters.
