
Clippers Open Regular Season With Overtime Loss To Ignite

Henderson, Nevada - The Ontario Clippers (0-1), the NBA G League affiliate of the LA Clippers, fall to the G League Ignite (1-0), 108-114, in their regular season opener on Tuesday night.
Moussa Diabate led Ontario with a game-high 23 points and completed the double-double with 10 rebounds. Xavier Moon led all reserves with 22 points off the bench.
The Ignite were led by Scoot Henderson's 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field. Cameron Young added 19 points off the bench.
After falling behind by as much as 15 in the first half, the Clippers played their way back into the game and regained an advantage in the closing seconds of the third. The two sides exchanged leads 11 times in the final quarter before Henderson knocked down a floater with 0.4 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime. The Ignite rode the momentum the rest of the way, outscoring the Clippers 8-2 in the extra frame.
Next up, the Clippers look to right the ship on Thursday in a rematch against the same G League Ignite squad. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm PST inside the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nevada.
