Orange County Flyers News Release

YUMA, Ariz. (August 13, 2010) - Zac Cline shut out the Tijuana Cimarrones, pitching a four-hit complete game in the second game of Friday's doubleheader, a 5-0 Orange County win. The Flyers completed a five-game sweep of Tijuana at the Ray Kroc Baseball Complex, improving to 17-5 in the second half to take over first place in the GBL South Division.

Cline (4-2) struck out five batters in his fourth start with Orange County for his fifth career complete game, the fourth Flyer to pitch wire to wire this season. Middle infielders Eric Pringle and Tyler Keeble turned two double plays to keep the base paths clear behind Cline.

Orange County got on the board in the third inning on a two-run double by Julian Benavidez for the early 2-0 lead. Steve Boggs and Jimmy Rohan added RBI-singles in the fourth, and Tyler Keeble scored on an error to give the Flyers their 5-0 advantage.

Orange County returns home on Saturday to face Tijuana in a doubleheader. Former NL All-Star Mark Prior is scheduled to pitch in Game 1 while KROQ's Stryker will make his professional baseball debut with the Flyers in Game 2. Saturday's doubleheader starts at 5:05pm, and tickets are available by calling (714) 526-8326 or visiting the team website at www.OrangeCountyFlyers.com.
