Clemente Loaned, Larkin Reassigned to Evansville

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced Sunday that goaltender Mike Clemente has been returned on loan to the Evansville IceMen, the team's East Coast Hockey League affiliate. Defenseman Thomas Larkin was also reassigned by the Columbus Blue Jackets from Springfield to Evansville.

In two games this season with Springfield, Clemente went 1-0-1 with a 2.88 goals-against average and .893 save percentage. Before being recalled, the Great Falls, Virginia native made 13 appearances with Evansville, going 9-2-2 with a 2.59 goals-against average, .903 save percentage and one shutout.

Larkin returns to Evansville, where he has accrued nine points (zero goals, nine assists), 42 penalty minutes and a +6 rating in 19 games this season. Larkin has played two games with the Falcons this season, recording no points five penalty minutes.

The Falcons are back in action Tuesday, January 7 when the team visits the Albany Devils for the second time in five days. Springfield then hosts Albany Friday, January 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the MassMutual Center.
