WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins finished up their three-day, three-game weekend with a 4-1 victory at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza that snapped the Binghamton Senators' seven-game winning streak. Barry Goers and Zach Torquato both picked up a goal and an assist in the win for the Penguins.

With 2:14 left until the intermission, Torquato helped Wilkes-Barre/Scranton regain its two-goal margin as he won a faceoff forward and whipped a shot from the corner that slipped between goalie Nathan Lawson Lawson and the right iron.

The Penguins were able to get the 1-0 lead at 10:17 of the first period when Goers slipped down the right wing with the puck and skated behind the goal line before centering in front. The puck came free to Anton Zlobin in the slot, where he lifted his second goal of the season over the glove of Lawson.

Goers then netted his first AHL with 6:35 gone in the third period as Paul Thompson circled with the puck in the near corner and hit the trailing defenseman for a wrister from atop the circles that found the back of the net.

Hartzell turned aside 23 of 24 Binghamton shots to raise his record to 5-2-1. Lawson made 25 saves for the Senators.
