Canucks Recall Benn Ferriero

Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager, Michael D. Gillis, announced today the recall of forward, Benn Ferriero.

Ferriero, 26, has played 32 games with Canucks AHL Affiliate, the Utica Comets, recording 22 points (10-12-22) and 10 penalty minutes in the 2013-14 season. Ferriero has played 96 career NHL games between the San Jose sharks and New York Rangers, scoring 23 points (14-9-23) with 25 penalty minutes in addition to one point and six penalty minutes in eight NHL playoff games.

The 5'11", 185-pound forward signed with the Canucks as a free agent on July 12, 2013. A native of Boston, Massachussets, Ferriero was originally drafted by Phoenix, 196 overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
