
Clearwater Threshers Fan Appreciation Weekend and Playoffs

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Clearwater Threshers' last home stand of the regular season includes Fan Appreciation Nights at Bright House Field on Friday, Sept. 4 and Saturday, Sept. 5. The Threshers will host a home playoff game on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Clearwater won the Florida State League North Division first half and it's their first playoff appearance since winning the FSL Championship in 2007.
Fan Appreciation Weekend at Bright House Field starts on Friday, Sept. 4, with a Rufus the Pelican Bobble giveaway - rescheduled from an earlier rain out. Guests will also receive a 2015 Clearwater Threshers Team Photo giveaway. A post-game concert from local favorites the Hunks of Funk follows the game action. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. game.
Saturday, Sept. 5, will see the largest fireworks display ever at Bright House Field after the game concludes. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. game. The regular season concludes on Sunday, Sept. 6, with Brunch at the Ballpark by Bright House Networks. Sunday gates are at 12 p.m. for the 1 p.m. game.
The Florida State League Championship Playoffs will start on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The first round is a best-of-three series while the championship round is a best-of-five series. The Threshers will travel for game one of round one on September 8. Based on the current standings and tie-breakers, the Daytona Tortugas are the favorites to face Clearwater in the first round.
The Threshers will host game two of round one on Wednesday, Sept. 9. If necessary, game three will be at Bright House Field on Thursday, Sept. 10. The Championship round starts the day after the completion of round one. Clearwater will host games one and two of the Championship round if the Threshers advance.
Gates will open and Happy Hour at the Tiki starts at 5 p.m. for the playoff game on Wednesday, Sept. 9, game time is 7 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Threshers Rally Towel giveaway to cheer on the team. Happy Hour with corn toss and disc golf returns on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 5 p.m.
