
Claws Use Six Run Third For 9-0 Wednesday Win Over Cyclones

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Jordan Dissin had a two run single as part of a six run third inning and Zach Arnold had three hits as the BlueClaws topped Brooklyn 9-0 for their second straight win. The win puts the BlueClaws at 7-4 on the year, and three games over .500 for the first time this season. The BlueClaws blew the game open with six runs in the bottom of the third inning. They scored two on groundouts by Leandro Pineda and Felix Reyes. Otto Kemp was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score another. Hendry Mendez came home on a wild pitch and Jordan Dissin singled home two for a 6-0 lead. Jersey Shore added a run in the fourth when Zach Arnold scored on a Joey Lancellotti balk. BlueClaws starter Starlyn Castillo threw three scoreless innings. Jack Dallas (1-0) came on after Castillo and threw two scoreless innings as well. Zach Arnold led the way with three hits in the win, including a two-run single in the fifth inning to give the BlueClaws a 9-0 lead. Jersey Shore got scoreless innings in relief from Cristian Hernandez, Mason Ronan, Alex Rao, and Jonathan Petit. The BlueClaws send RHP Jean Cabrera to the mound on Thursday night in the third of six against Brooklyn. First pitch from ShoreTown Ballpark is 6:35 pm.
