LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws used a seven-run third inning in which Deivi Grullon had two hits and two RBIs to top Greensboro 7-2 on Wednesday night at FirstEnergy Park, completing a three-game sweep of the Grasshoppers.

The sweep was the first by the BlueClaws since they took a three-game series from Lexington from April 29 - May 1, 2014. It put Lakewood at 27-19/60-54 and ties their high-water mark of the season at six games over .500.

The seven-run third inning included a two-run double by Cord Sandberg and a two-run single by Deivi Grullon, who also led off the inning with a single. All seven runs, four earned, were charged to Greensboro starter Michael Mader, who fell to 5-11 on the year.

Garcia went six innings and allowed one run on three hits to improve to 7-9 on the season. The 20-year old picked up his first win since the 4th of July.

Herlis Rodriguez added two hits to extend his hitting streak to 14 games, over which he is now 22-58. Scott Kingery and Grullon also had two hits in the win.

Jason Zgardowski and Manaure Martinez threw scoreless innings in relief while Scott Harris gave up a run in the ninth.

The BlueClaws head to Delmarva and open a three-game series with the Shorebirds on Friday night after a Thursday off-day. RHP Shane Watson (1-3) starts for Lakewood on Friday against LHP Brian Gonzalez (4-8).
