
Chukars Peacock Named Pitcher of the Week

Idaho Falls Chukars pitcher Brian Peacock has been named the Pioneer League "Pitcher of the Week" for the week of July 25 - 31.
The 6'3" 190 pound left-hander made two starts in that time, at Missoula and home against Ogden, totaling 11 innings pitched and finishing with a 1-0 record and a 0.00 ERA. Peacock allowed just one unearned run on six hits during the week, striking out 13 while walking just two.
After struggling in his first four starts of the season, Peacock has been red hot over his last three. During that time the southpaw is 2-0 with a 0.51 ERA and a .189 BAA. The California native now leads Chukars starters in ERA (3.30), innings pitched (43.2), strikeouts (48), WHIP (1.10) and BAA (.253).
Peacock currently leads the Pioneer league in strikeouts as well, while being second in WHIP, fourth in ERA, and sixth in BAA.
