SAN ANGELO – The Northern Conference All-Stars defeated the Southern Conference All-Stars 12-9 last night in the annual Dodge CHL All-Star Game in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Forward Jason Baird of the Indianapolis Ice was named the games' MVP after notching a hat-trick and an assist for 4 points in the game. The game also featured a total of 102 shots on goal and zero penalty minutes as the two teams put on an offensive showcase in front of an All-Star Game record crowd of over 10,000 fans at New Mexico's Tingley Coliseum.

All three Saints All-Stars played in the game with forward Chris Minard tallying two goals, defenseman Derek Booth notching two assists and goaltender Scott Reid posting 23 saves on 29 shots in a game that featured little defensive effort by either team.

In the Comcast All-Star Skills Competition prior to the All-Star Game, Minard tied for 2nd in the Accuracy Shoot, Booth participated in the Breakaway Relay and Scott Reid saved all 10 shots he faced in the Rapid Fire contest.

All three will be back in town tonight and in the line-up as the Saints face the Lubbock Cotton Kings at 7:05 p.m. at the San Angelo Coliseum. Tonight is Military Night and fans can get $6 mid-zone tickets with a military ID card. The first 1,000 fans through the doors tonight will receive free Saints seat cushions from Shannon SportsMed and there is a Post-Game Party with the players at Logan's Roadhouse. Tomorrow night the Saints host the Corpus Christi Rayz at 7:05 p.m. and it will be Scout Night at the coliseum. All boy and girl scouts and their families can get $6 mid-zone tickets to Saturday's game and the first 2,000 fans through the doors will get free Saints team posters from Coca-Cola. There will also be an Autograph Party with the players after tomorrow's game.
