
Chivas USA Waive Goalkeeper Tim Melia

CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, July 10, 2014) - Chivas USA announced today that the club has waived goalkeeper Tim Melia. In his fifth season in Major League Soccer and third with the Red-and-White, the 28-year-old appeared in two games, logging 79 minutes against the San Jose Earthquakes and Houston Dynamo.
Chivas USA now prepare to hit the road to face Western Conference foe Vancouver Whitecaps FC this Saturday at BC Place. The match will mark the second leg of the season series and will be streamed live on www.cdchivasusa.com/gameday and can be heard on ESPN Deportes Radio KWKU 1220 AM beginning at 7 p.m. (PT).
