Chivas USA to hold player development tournament

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, December 5, 2005) - Chivas USA will hold a player development tournament at Cal Poly Pomona University, ‘Torneo de Futuras Estrellas' (Tournament of Future Stars), on December 10 and 11. The tournament will provide U-19 players the opportunity to be evaluated by Chivas USA's coaching staff. A number of players will be singled out as the ‘stars' of the tournament and will receive a special invitation to participate in a private training session at The Home Depot Center with the possibility of becoming part of Chivas USA's player development program.

The tournament will consist of 16 teams who will play a minimum of three games each. Players will also receive a ticket to Chivas USA opening game for the 2006 MLS season.
