
Chivas USA receives ITC's for Lillingston, Trujillo; Kljestan named to U.S. squad vs. El Salvador,

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, March 20, 2009) - Chivas USA's recent signings Eduardo Lillingston and Mariano Trujillo today received their International Transfer Certificates and are cleared to play in tomorrow's Opening Day match against the Colorado Rapids. Lillingston, a forward from Guadalajara, Mexico, and Trujillo, a versatile midfielder from Mexico City, are both eligible to make their Chivas USA debuts tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. at The Home Depot Center.
In related news, Chivas USA today announced that defenders Bobby Burling and Lawson Vaughn have been moved to the team's Disabled List, making the players ineligible for MLS action for the next six league games as they recover from injury. Burling is currently recovering from sports hernia surgery, and Vaughn is recuperating from offseason ankle surgery.
In other news, Chivas USA midfielder Sacha Kljestan was named today to the United States National Team's 22-player roster for upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against El Salvador on March 28 and Trinidad & Tobago on April 1. Kljestan, who played 86 minutes in a 2-0 qualifying win over Mexico on Feb. 11, will join the U.S. on March 22 in Miami, and will miss the Chivas USA match on March 29 at FC Dallas.
