Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release

CARSON, CA - Chivas USA is set to join dozens of youth at a unique summer learning camp aimed at inspiring them to become better creative and expository writers. 826LA, a non-profit with bases in Venice and Echo Park (CA), hosts its "English Language Learner Writing Camp" on an annual basis and each year participating youth focus their writing on a variety of themes.

This will be the first time that Chivas USA teams up with 826LA to offer camp participants a full week of writing focused on sports. To that end, Chivas USA midfielder Ben Zemanski and goal-keeper Dan Kennedy will attend two 826LA camps where participating youth will "interview" the players then write their reflections on the event. The first camp is scheduled for this Thursday. Chivas USA's Dan Kennedy will follow with an appearance at the 826LA location in Echo Park next week.
