BATTLE CREEK, MI - The Battle Creek Bombers mustered up only three hits in a 5-0 shutout loss at C.O. Brown Stadium.

Lakeshore's offense hopped on Cole Swanson right away in the first inning. Brian Anderson hit a 2-run home run in the 1st inning and Forrest Chadwick added a 2-run single in the 2nd to give the Chinooks an early 4-0 lead.

Chinook starting pitcher Nick Soldano didn't give up a base hit for the first 5 2/3 innings. He finished the night throwing seven shutout frames allowing just two base hits. Jeremy Shay ended the no-hit bid with a solid single into right field with two outs in the 6th inning. German Reyes added a solo home run in the top of the 8th inning to give Lakeshore run number five on the night. Shay and Dylan Delaney added singles later in the game for the Bombers, but they were all stranded on base as Battle Creek was shut out for the 2nd time this season.

Battle Creek and Lakeshore quickly will turn right around and finish up this two-game series tomorrow morning at 11:05 ET on Camp Day at C.O. Brown Stadium. The pitching matchup for tomorrow's game will be Kyle Teague (BC) vs. Ryan Harris (LAK).
