Chihuahuas Drop First Game of Homestand 9-4

The Tacoma Rainiers hit four home runs in their 9-4 win over the El Paso Chihuahuas Tuesday night at Southwest University Park. Two of the homers came off the bat of Justin Ruggiano, his second multi-home run game of the season against El Paso. The defeat ended the longest winning streak in Chihuahuas' history (seven games).

Tacoma's Chien-Ming Wang picked up his first Pacific Coast League win after pitching seven innings. He allowed just one run through six before the Chihuahuas scored three runs in his final frame. El Paso starter Daniel McCutchen suffered the loss after going 5-0 in his previous five starts.

Rymer Liriano went 3-for-4 with an RBI, his second straight multi-hit game. Will Middlebrooks went 2-for-4 and is hitting .333 through his first six Chihuahuas' games. Tuesday was El Paso's first home game since July 12.
