Chiefs Shutout Bombers

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs picked up their third straight win and goaltender David Currie (31 saves) posted his second shutout of the season as the Chiefs defeated the visiting Dayton Bombers 4-0, Sunday afternoon at the War Memorial.

Steve Hildenbrand scored a shorthanded goal for the Chiefs, while Brent Kelly, Dominic Forget and Jeff Zehr also tallied. The Chiefs are now unbeaten in eight straight home games (6-0-2).

Bombers goaltender Andrew Penner made 24 saves in the contest. The Chiefs improve their record to 30-16-6. Dayton falls to 19-29-5.

The Chiefs are off until Wednesday night when they travel to Trenton (7:00 p.m.). Friday they are in Toledo (7:30 p.m.). Next weekend, the Chiefs will host Toledo on Saturday night (7:00 p.m.) and Trenton (2:30 p.m.) on Sunday. Following Sunday's game, there will be a "Skate with the Chiefs."
