IceGators slip away with 3-1 win over Texas

Beaumont, TX (February 22, 2004) â The Texas Wildcatters welcomed back the Louisiana IceGators for the seventh time this season at Ford Arena. The IceGators skated away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcatters in their final trip to Beaumont this season. Brian Passmore opened up the scoring for the Wildcatters at the 11:39 mark of the opening period as he took a pass from Ryan Fultz to record his 14th goal of the season. Fultz now has a point in each of his last three games for Texas. Ashlee Langdone was credited with the second assist on the power-play goal to extend his point streak to five games. The IceGators answered back less than two minutes later as Ben Storey beat Davis Parley glove side to tally his 15th goal of the year.
The score remained locked until the 17:31 mark of the second period as Ed McGrane netted his 12th goal of the year. Parley turned away 19 of the 20 shots he faced in the period.
The IceGators put the icing on the cake at the 17:51 mark of the final stanza as Bobby Brown tacked on an insurance goal for Louisiana. Frederic Cloutier earned his 15th win of the year with 18 saves. Parley suffered the loss stopping 39 of the 42 shots he faced.
