Sea Wolves Rally in a Shootout 5-4 over the Wildcatters

BILOXI, Mississippi Jim Baxter provided three assists and the decisive goal in a shootout as the Mississippi Sea Wolves took 63 shots en route to a 5-4 victory over the Texas Wildcatters.

Baxter assisted on a goal by Kerry Ellis-Toddington that cut the lead for Texas to 3-2 with 3:35 left in the second period and added a helper on another score by Ellis-Toddington that tied the game at 5-5 with 8:53 expired in the third. Baxter then recorded the only successful try in the shootout to give Mississippi the victory.

Steffon Walby also had three assists and Louis Dumont chipped in with a goal and an helper for the Sea Wolves, who improved to 8-2-0 vs. the Wildcatters. Greg Gardner made 13 of his 27 saves in the first period to up his mark at home to 13-3-2.

Ashley Langdone had a pair of goals to help Texas gain a 3-0 lead early in the second period. Mark Scally established a new career-high with 59 saves in a tough loss, including 22 in the third period.
