Pawtucket Red Sox News Release

The PawSox managed just three base hits facing lefty Matt Chico and a couple of relievers on Sunday afternoon in Syracuse. The results were predictable as the Chiefs blanked the Sox 3-0. Robert Coello had mixed results as he fell to 2-3. Coello struck out 8 hitters in 4 innings, but he walked 4 and allowed 4 hits. Three of the hits were doubles that came in the fourth as the Chiefs did all the games' scoring in that half inning. Chico is 3-0 with a 1.19 ERA against the PawSox in 2010.

Argenis Reyes singled in the first, Niuman Romero singled in the second and Lars Anderson doubled in the fourth, extending his personal hitting streak to 9 games. That was the sum total of the Pawtucket offense.

The PawSox return home for a four game homestand against Toledo. It begins on Monday night at 7:05 p.m. Alfredo Figaro (7-6, 4.39) pitches for the Mud Hens. The PawSox have not yet announced a starter.
