Appleton, WI - The Peoria Chiefs and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers series opener scheduled for Tuesday night has been postponed due to rain, snow and wet grounds at Time Warner Cable Field. Appleton experienced snow on Monday and rain on Tuesday making the field unplayable.
The series will now begin with a 12:05 pm tilt on Wednesday and a 5:35 pm doubleheader on Thursday. The two teams will then travel south to Milwaukee for a 7:00 game Friday night at Miller Park. The Chiefs will start RH Chris Carpenter (0-1, 5.00) while the Rattlers starter is still undetermined. All four games can be heard live on 96.5 ESPN and www.peoriachiefs.com.
