CHICAGO - The WNBA Chicago Sky (8-17) resumes practice this week, while in the midst of the league-wide Olympic hiatus. Sky Center Sylvia Fowles continues stellar international play for the USA Women's Olympic Basketball (2-0) team in Beijing, helping the team earn two victories over the Czech Republic (1-1) and China (1-1).
OLYMPICS WATCH - SYLVIA FOWLES
Team USA vs. Czech Republic - Saturday, August 9
Sylvia Fowles had 16 points and 14 rebounds off the bench in Team USA's 97-57 victory over the Czech Republic in its Olympics opener. President Bush, the first family, and much of the men's U.S. Olympic Basketball team were on hand to watch the game, along with Fowles' mother, who made the trip from Miami. Fowles scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half for the U.S., along with her 3 offensive rebounds and 11 defensive rebounds, in just 17 minutes of play.
"Just to come out here tonight and see how many fans were supporting us and that our President was out here was good," said Fowles after Saturday's game. "Now I feel like an Olympian."
Team USA vs. China - Monday, August 11, 2008
Sylvia Fowles scored 18 points and added eight rebounds in Team USA's 108-63 rout of China. Team USA opened up the first quarter with a 35-3 run, and went on to become the first women's team in the Olympic tournament to reach 100 points in a game.

CHICAGO 2016 TICKET OFFER
Sky fans have the opportunity to support Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games and cheer the Sky on toward their first-ever playoff berth with a special Final 5 Playoff Push Plan. The special ticket plan includes a ticket to each of the Sky's last five regular season home games of the 2008 season as well as a Sky t-shirt.
For each ticket purchased, the Sky will donate 25% of the ticket price to Chicago 2016. Fans are encouraged to come out to the Sky's remaining 2008 home games to cheer the team on toward the playoffs and support Chicago's Olympic bid.
The games included in the Final 5 Playoff Push Plan are games against teams the Sky are competing with for the playoffs. The games included in this pack are:

Wednesday, 8/13: Armintie Price will assist the DuPage Library System (Two Friendship Plaza, Addison, IL) with its summer reading program and connect with participating kids by reading aloud, participating in a Q & A session and signing autographs from 7-9 p.m.
Friday, 8/15: Brooke Wyckoff will participate in the Mayer Kaplan Jewish Community Center (5050 Church St., Skokie, IL 60077 ) Celebrity Basketball Camp from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wyckoff will run basketball drills and encourage JCC kids to become Sky fans.
Saturday 8/16: Armintie Price & KB Sharp will attend the Radio Disney Jam Fest at Six Flags Great America to meet with fans and sign autographs.
