The days slightly modified "Olympic" events will include a torch relay, javelin throw with pool noodles, soccer shootout, five-spot shooting competition and an obstacle course/shoe race. Each team/country will have a Silver Stars player as a captain as well as a junior captain from the Jr. Silver Stars girls basketball league.

The Silver Stars currently sit in first place in the Western Conference Standings and are in the midst of a month-long hiatus while players from around the league compete in the Beijing Olympics. Play resumes league-wide Aug. 28. Tickets start as low as $9.35 and are available through TicketMaster, the AT&T Center Box Office, online at www.sasilverstars.com or by calling (210) 444-5090.
