
Chicago Sky Hosts First Preseason Game

CHICAGO - The WNBA Chicago Sky will host the first of three pre-season games on Wednesday, April 30 at 7 p.m. (CDT), taking on the Seattle Storm at UIC Pavilion. The Sky will also play an exhibition game in Milwaukee on Saturday, May 3 at 5 p.m. against the Indiana Fever at the Al McGuire Center.
The Sky's top draft pick Sylvia Fowles and 2007 Rookie of the Year Armintie Price are in training camp this week. Both players had physicals on Monday, April 28 and will practice with the team on Tuesday, April 29 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Fowles has been playing with USA Basketball's Women's National Team in an Olympic warm-up tournament in Beijing, where she was high scorer in all but one of the USA team's games.
Sky training camp is underway at Attack Athletics, located at 2641 W. Harrison Street. In addition to Fowles and Price, players in camp include: Quianna Chaney, Kayte Christensen, Claire Coggins, Amanda Jackson, Chasity Melvin, Stephanie Raymond, Nina Stone, Carrie Moore, Angela Tisdale and Brooke Queenan.

- Tuesday, 4/29: Practice at Attack Athletics, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Wednesday, 4/30: Chicago Sky vs. Seattle Storm at 7 p.m. at UIC Pavilion. Shoot around at UIC Pavilion, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Seattle will be missing Sue Bird, Lauren Jackson, Roneeka Hodges, Swin Cash, Tanisha Wright, Janell Burse and Kelly Santos, all are still playing overseas.
- Thursday, 5/1: OFF. Fowles and Price will be available to meet with Milwaukee media from 10-11 a.m. Hopkins Elementary School in Milwaukee
- Friday, 5/2: Practice at Attack Athletics, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Friday, 5/2: Sky player Kayte Christenson participates in Looptopia children's reading event at Macy's on State, 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, 5/3: Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever @ Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee at 5 p.m.
- Sunday, 5/4: OFF
KAYTE CHRISTENSEN AT LOOPTOPIA
Veteran center Kayte Christensen will participate in "Looptopia," the nation's first dawn till dusk artistic celebration, on Friday, May 2. Christensen will be reading to children at Macy's on State Street at 6:30 p.m. This event will be held on the 5th floor in the Ralph Lauren children's department and a discussion will follow the reading.
FOWLES - National Team Update
Sylvia Fowles, the Sky's top draft pick, returned to Chicago on Sunday, April 27 from Beijing, where she led the USA Basketball Women's National Team in scoring with 17.6 points per game and rebounds with 11.0 per game. Fowles will practice with the team on Tuesday, April 29.
