Kansas City, KS - Despite a promising first half, the Chicago Red Stars were unable to stave off the Kansas City Current attack and fell 4-0 in the club's third UKG Challenge Cup match. The team heads back to Chicago for a rematch against Portland Thorns FC Sunday, June 18, at SeatGeek Stadium.

70' DiBernardo finds Debinha in Chicago's penalty area and she gets the ball into the net

Tonight marked Addie McCain's first start and appearance in a Red Stars jersey. The midfielder makes her debut with the club against her former team, Kansas City
Kayla Sharples played her first big minutes tonight since coming off of the season-ending injury list. The defender won the most tackles for the Red Stars, had a shot on goal and outran multiple Current attackers to 50/50 balls that she cleared from danger
