WASHINGTON, D.C. - The North Carolina Courage continue their UKG Challenge Cup journey with a midweek match-up against the Washington Spirit on Wednesday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Audi Field. This match will stream on Paramount+.

North Carolina is unbeaten in 12 straight Challenge Cup matches (W6 D6), including opening this year's edition with draws against Orlando and Gotham. The Courage and OL Reign (also active) have the joint-longest unbeaten run in tournament history at 12 games.

The Courage are coming off a dominant 0-5 win over the Chicago Red Stars, improving to 5-4-2 in league play. Brazilian superstar Kerolin Nicoli recorded her first career hat-trick to catapult into the Golden Boot race lead while Mille Gejl and Denise O'Sullivan contributed a goal and assist each.

The Courage head into their third 2023 UKG Challenge Cup match and first in over a month. The Spirit are the last team left to face in the group and this will be a rematch of the 2022 Challenge Cup Championship. North Carolina looks to remain undefeated against Washington in Challenge Cup play with three wins and two draws through the history of the competition.
