
San Diego Wave FC Announces Details for Rivalry Night, Presented by Kaiser Permanente

San Diego Wave FC News Release
San Diego Wave FC today announced details for its upcoming Rivalry Match, presented by Kaiser Permanente, this Saturday, Sept. 17, as the team faces fellow Southern California opponent Angel City FC. The match is slated to kick off at 1:00 p.m. PT from Snapdragon Stadium and will be broadcasted live on CBS.

The Rivalry Match will feature a variety of activities throughout the match:
Wave FC Fan Fest | 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m:
The match will kick off with a pre-game Fan Fest, presented by Siete Family Foods, outside Snapdragon Stadium. Starting at 10:00 a.m. PT, fans can enjoy live music, a Bud Light Beer Garden, local food trucks, games, a spirit station, and more.
Giveaways:
The first 10,000 fans into the stadium receive a jersey rally towel, presented by Kaiser Permanente. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. PT.
Match Presentation:
There will be numerous entertainment events before the match including DJ Kirby and a performance from the Wave FC Drumline which will take place from 12:05-12:25 p.m. on the field.
Saturday's National Anthem will be sung by international performing artist and headliner Lorena Peril. The pre-game ceremony will continue with an entrance from the Golden Knights Parachute Team and the Wave Maker of the match will be Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks Kicker and Punter. To finish out the pre-game fun, the Battle of the Clubs winner will be featured on the field for their efforts in selling the most amount of tickets for Saturday's Rivalry Match.
Juneteenth:
Following Peril's anthem performance, the Black National Anthem "Lift Every Voice and Sing" will be featured and sung by City of San Diego Employee, Tammy Williams.
On June 16, NWSL and all clubs will wear a league-wide Juneteenth t-shirt. The t-shirt was created in collaboration with the Black Women's Player Collective and the Wave will be wearing them for player walk-ins. All net proceeds from NWSLsoccer.com will go directly to a nonprofit and decided by BWPC.
In addition, Karla Thompson, San Diego Wave FC's Executive Director of Performance and Development, will join Black Soccer Coaches Juneteenth Celebration on June 19 at 8:00 a.m. PT.
