Lake Country DockHounds News Release

CHICAGO, ILL. - The Chicago Dogs won the first ever meeting against the Lake Country DockHounds 13-3 on Friday evening.

Lake Country would begin the ball game with a run coming from Jake Snider. Snider started his night with a walk and worked his way around to home plate with an error by the pitcher.

The next scoring plays would occur in the fourth inning by the Dogs. A pair of two-run blasts over the outfield wall by K.C. Hobson and Trent Bauer would put Chicago up 4-1.

Wilfredo Gimenez looked to put the DockHounds back in the game with a solo homer in the sixth inning.

In the next half inning, Cosimo Cannella put the Dogs on the board for their fifth and sixth runs of the contest. The score was then 6-2.

DockHounds' designated hitter Aaron Takacs grounded out to the left side of the infield but drove in Gabriel Noriega in the meantime.

Hobson continued to get on base for Chicago as he tacked an RBI double in the bottom of the seventh.

The Dogs would score a multitude of runs in the eight frame, similar to what the DockHounds did in game two against Lincoln Saltdogs. This time, Lake Country let eight runs come across. The final score was 13-3 Chicago.

Lake Country will stay in the Windy City to play Chicago Dogs again on Saturday, June 18th at 6 p.m.
