Chevy Youth Baseball Clinic Comes to Pelican Park

The Pensacola Pelicans will host the 2008 Chevy Youth Baseball Clinic here in Pensacola at Pelican Park. This is a free instructional baseball clinic open to boys and girls ages 7-13. Kids who attend the clinic will have the opportunity to be taught various aspects of baseball such as fielding, hitting, and pitching by current Pelicans players and coaches.

All participants receive a free ticket to a future Pelicans game.

The Chevy Youth Clinic will be held this week from 9am-12pm Wednesday, June 4th through Friday, June 6th at Pelican Park on the campus of the University of West Florida. Registration is required and could be completed online at www.chevyyouthsports.com/rsvp. Your RSVP log-in password is PlayBall and your LMG is Mobile-Pensacola.

"This is this first year we have partnered with Chevy for this clinic," said Pelicans General Manager Talmadge Nunnari. "It is a great way for our two organizations to give back to the community and spread the excitement and growth of baseball throughout our youth in the Pensacola area."

The Pelicans return home on Tuesday, June 3 for a six-game home stand. Tuesday is Tuesday Madness, fans receive a ticket, all-you-can eat pizza and BBQ, and all-you-can drink draft beer and Pepsi from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for only $15.
