The Lincoln Saltdogs scored seven times in the top of the third inning and never looked back as they rolled to an easy win on the road. Saltdogs starter Brian Campbell got off to a bit of rocky start, but settled in nicely to earn his second win of the season. Campbell allowed four runs, three earned, on six hits in six innings of work. Lincoln tallied 13 hits as a team, led by DH Mario Delgado who was 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. Saltdogs LF Luis Perez and RF Ross McCoy also homered. Perez finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored and McCoy was 1-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI.

The Sioux City Explorers and Wichita Wingnuts went scoreless through regulation, but the Explorers came up with three runs in the top half of the 10th and held on in the bottom half to pick up the win. Explorers starting pitcher Alexander Francisco was great again, tossing nine shutout innings to win his fifth game of the season. The Explorers put together a series of soft base hits, but they were enough to rally for three runs in the 10th inning and give Sioux City the win. Closer Brett Reid held the Wingnuts at bay in the bottom half of the inning to record his sixth save of the season.
