Checkers Announce Pre-Season Game

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers and Mississippi Sea Wolves will battle in an exhibition game on Oct. 10 at the Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, N.C. at 7 p.m. preceded by a Fan-Fest at 5 p.m.

The Extreme Ice Center is the official practice facility of the Charlotte Checkers. This exhibition game will mark the third consecutive season which the team has used Extreme Ice Center for the location of pre-season contests. Tickets will be available on or before Saturday, Oct. 4 online at www.ticketmaster.com or at the Extreme Ice Center which is located at 4705 Indian Trail-Fairview Road, Indian Trail, N.C. 28079.

The Checkers Fan-Fest will begin two hours prior to the puck drop against the Sea Wolves. There will be an array of kids activities, music and much more for the entire family.

The following day, the Checkers will hold a blue vs. white intra-squad game at Extreme Ice Center. Fans are invited to come watch the game free of charge starting at 8 a.m.

The Checkers are getting ready for their 16th season of play as a member of the ECHL. Opening night will take place on Halloween against the Augusta Lynx at a special 8 p.m. start. In the team's 15-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 11 times including four consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers are entering their fourth season of play at Time Warner Cable Arena. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $396.
