This Week in Condorstown:

Tuesday, Oct. 14: The "Voice of the Condors," Kevin Bartl, will appear on "There It Is! the Jake Stevens Show" at 7:45 a.m. on ESPN Radio 1230. Bartl and Stevens will discuss Opening Night on Saturday and the Condors potential and goals this season. "There It Is!" airs Monday - Friday from 7 to 9 a.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 14: Condors mascot Baby Cal will visit the students at La Petite Academy, beginning at 10 a.m. at 2616 Gosford Rd. Cal will act out a story read aloud to the students and join them in school-yard games.

Wednesday, Oct. 15: Tune in to ESPN Radio 1230 to catch "Your Radio Store" from noon to 3 p.m. and Home Turf with Corey Costelloe from 3 to 5 p.m. as they broadcast live from the Rabobank Arena Plaza. Condors Assistant Coach Mark Pederson will join Costelloe on the air at 4:15 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 16: Turn your radio dial to ESPN Radio 1230 to catch Condors F Andrew Ianiero discuss everything Condors with Jake Stevens on "There It Is!" at 8:05 a.m.

Thursday, Oct. 16: The Condors Coach's Show will air live on ESPN Radio 1230 from its new location at the Hungry Hunter at 3580 Rosedale Hwy. The Condors Coach's Show airs at its new time from 5 to 6 p.m. with a Condors player, Head Coach Marty Raymond and the "Voice of the Condors" Kevin Bartl.

Thursday, Oct. 16: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd and front office staff members will take part in the Beardsley Jr. High School Carnival located at 1001 Roberts Lane from 5 to 8 p.m. Carnival goers will be able to take a whack in the Condors slapshot as well as enjoy the other fun and games the carnival has to offer.

Thursday, Oct. 16: Condors mascot Baby Cal and front office staff personnel will be in attendance at Light the Night held at Ollivier Middle School from 5 to 8 p.m. located at 7310 Monitor Street. Light the Night is a nationally recognized event to build awareness of blood cancers and raise funds for cures. In addition to Baby Cal, the Condors will have a booth with plenty of goodies for kids.

Friday, Oct. 17: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will attend the Stella Hills Elementary School after-school program from 3 to 4 p.m. Students who have met goals in the classroom will be able to participate in the fun and games with the Colonel.

Friday, Oct. 17: Listen to "Home Turf" with Cory Costelloe on ESPN Radio 1230 at 4:15 p.m. to hear last year's goal scoring sensation F Mark Derlago as the Condors prepare to take on the Ontario Reign for Opening Night. "Home Turf" airs Monday - Friday from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 18: The Bakersfield Condors host the Ontario Reign for Opening Night on the Mercy & Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena. All fans in attendance will receive a Condors magnet schedule, courtesy of ESPN Radio 1230 and Mercy and Memorials. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m. Prior to the game, the Condors will host a party on the plaza with the Anaheim Ducks mascot, Wild Wing, the Ducks Power Players and Street Team, inflatable games, street hockey and more, beginning at 5 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 19: The Condors Booster Club will hold their annual Meet the Team Bowling Party. Tickets are $25 for bowling, pizza and soda. Tickets are on sale during Condors games at the Booster Club table behind section 103. This event is for Booster Club members only; if you are not a Booster Club member and would like to attend events such as this with the players, please visit the table behind section 103 during the game or visit condorbc.com.

Local Girl Awarded Hockey Honors:

Bakersfield product, Kristi Kehoe, was named Women's Hockey East Player of the Week and USCHO.com National Offensive Player of the Week last week. The Liberty High School grad is a sophomore at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and was awarded the honor thanks in part to her first career hat trick on Oct. 4.

Opening Night against the Ontario Reign is just 5 days away, on October 18. Season seats and mini-plans, starting at just $42, are on sale now. Group outings and reservations for the Condors on-ice and VIP suites are now available as well. Stop by the Condors office or call 324-PUCK (7825) for remaining seat availability.

Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322- 2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
