PAPILLION, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers were defeated, 5-1, at the hands of the Memphis Redbirds on Monday night. Left-hander Nathan Adcock allowed four runs in 5.1 innings of work en-route to his second Triple-A loss of the season.

Irving Falu went two-for-four at the dish and knocked in the lone run for Omaha (34-25) with his RBI single in the eighth inning. Jason Bourgeois also contributed offensively with two hits.

Memphis (21-37) scored the first run of the game in the second inning with a run-scoring double by Pete Kozma. The Redbirds added another run the following inning when Ryan Jackson hit a solo shot off of Adcock (3-2).

Memphis put the Storm Chasers in a 7-0 hole in the sixth thanks to a two-run triple by Cedric Hunter and another RBI double by Kozma.

Omaha did manage to scratch out a run in the eighth as Bourgeois doubled and then scored thanks to Falu's single to right. Unfortunately, that was all the home team could muster as they dropped Monday's contest, 5-1.

The Storm Chasers and Redbirds will do battle in the finale of their four-game series on Tuesday with a first pitch slated for 12:05 p.m. Seniors are encouraged to come out to the game on Tuesday to enjoy Bingo before Tuesday's contest by calling 402-738-2182 to reserve their spot.
